29/9/12

We left Port Lincoln at 9.25am and refuelled at North Shields on our way out of town. Our next stop was at Tumby Bay. The town has a number of lovely restored stone cottages and a great beach for little children. There was a jetty near the beach and we went for a walk along it. We cut our walk short as rain was approaching and we wanted to keep ahead of it. We drove to Port Neill which was a little smaller than Tumby Bay and the houses weren't as nice either. There was a jetty and we walked it. The beach had lots of seaweed and it detracted from how it should have looked. Next was Arno Bay. We stopped for lunch in a car park next to the beach. After leaving Arno Bay we drove 20kms to Port Gibbon Foreshore Free Camp. The local council has provided this camping area for caravanners and travellers. It has toilets and water but no electricity. Who needs electricity when you have solar panels and plenty of sun? We set up and went about our business to the relaxing roar of the surf on the beach.
