12/9/12
We
packed up and left Kalgoorlie about 9.00am and drove to the small town of
Kambalda. We all visited the talking and singing toilet in a park before
hitting the road again and stopping at the Mt Thirsty Rest Area for lunch. Then
we drove through Noreseman and filled up with petrol and diesel before turning
onto the Nullarbor's Eyre Highway. We stopped for the day at the Ten Mile Rocks
Rest Area and set up camp. We all collected enough firewood to last for 5 days.
We lit the fire at 4.20pm and sat and watched bush TV until 9.00pm by which
time Karen had burnt all the wood and the bush fire alert was called off so we
went to bed.
